Impact Stories

Real People. Real Change.

These are composites drawn from real cases. Names and identifying details have been changed to protect confidentiality and dignity.

Grief + Isolation → Community Leader

A Mother — Grand Bassa County

She hadn't slept properly in three years. Carrying grief alone after losing her husband, she couldn't afford a clinic and feared judgement from her community. She heard about the hotline from a neighbour, and called. She was listened to for the first time. The Mobile Clinic visited her community. Today she leads a peer support group for other women in her village.

Grief · Isolation · No resources → Heard · Supported · Peer Leader
At-Risk Youth → Graduate

A Teenager — Nimba County

Childhood trauma was destroying his relationships and school life. A teacher trained by L2SLiberia recognised the signs and encouraged him to call the hotline. He was referred for youth counselling through our partner network. He stayed in school. He graduated. He now wants to study counselling.

Childhood trauma · Dropout risk → Counselled · Graduated · Future counsellor
Immediate Crisis → Safety

A Survivor — Montserrado

She called at 2am. She was in immediate danger. The counsellor stayed on the line. Within the hour she was connected to a safe house. The perpetrator was reported to the Women and Children Protection Unit. She received trauma counselling, legal support, and ongoing follow-up. She is safe.
